Lores Bonney Riverwalk

Starting from Bretts Wharf (not too far from Link Porstside), the Kingsford Smith Drive Riverside Promenade, Lores Bonney Riverwalk, is a 1.2km shared pathway to Cameron Rocks.

Offering Brisbane River views across to Bulimba this spacious off-road pathway includes a dedicated, 2 metre wide lane for pedestrians to walk or jog along, as well as a two way cycle path that’s approximately 3 metres in width.

Along the 1.2km path you’ll find perfect pit-stops with plenty of green spaces that are ideal for picnics, as well as rest platforms and water bubblers.  You’ll also discover informative plaques at several points sharing the history of areas iconic buildings.

At Cameron Rocks you can cast a line at the Cameron Rocks Reserve fishing platform. Or visit the Hamilton War Memorial, in commemoration of conflicts that the members of the Clayfield-Toombul RSL sub-branch served in during World War 1.

The riverwalk was named in honour of Maude ‘Lores’ Bonney to acknowledge the significant impact she had upon the nation’s aviation industry, in an era that was typically dominated by her male counterparts.
